Overview of the PCOA
It is an agency of the Ministry of National Security, mandated to provide monitoring, inspecting and auditing of the implementation of policies, standards and procedures of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. The Authority is currently constituted of seven members who are appointed by the Governor General, after consultation with the Prime Minister and Leader of Opposition.
