Pastor Glen Samuels is currently the President of the West Jamaica Conference of the Seventh-Day, Adventists. A Justice of the Peace, Pastor Samuels also serves on numerous boards and committees. He is a member of the St. James Peace Management Board; the Northern Caribbean University Board; and Chair of the Boards of Harrison Memorial and Savanna-la-Mar High Schools.
He has served with distinction for two decades as District Pastor, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director, Ministerial Fraternity President, Ministerial Secretary and President. He also served as Executive Secretary, Ministerial Secretary and Personal Ministries Director of the West Indies Union Conference. In December 2010 he was elected Ministerial Secretary, Sabbath School & Personal Ministries Director of the newly formed Jamaica Union Conference.
Motivated by his commitment to helping others. Pastor Samuels pursued his Bachelor of Theology from West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University), and a Masters in Theology from Andrews University, Michigan, USA.
On October 19, 2017, Pastor Samuels was recognized by the Government of Jamaica and conferred with the Order of Distinction (Officer Class) for outstanding contribution to Religion and Community Service.
Pastor Samuels was first appointed as a member of the Police (Civilian Oversight) Authority by the Governor-General on March 9, 2009.
